Who is WatchWorld?

We, Patrick Kury and Urs Gottscheu, founded WatchWorld to offer our customers the guarantee of receiving the very best in watchmaking. We draw on our many years of experience in watch restoration, watchmaker training, and watch design in our daily work.

Since 2009, our paths have crossed several times in various projects and companies, before we decided to found a company together in Solothurn. Solothurn has a long tradition in watchmaking, with historic brands such as Lanco, Roamer, and Ginsbo, which once shaped the city. Today, WatchWorld continues this legacy.

Our location in Solothurn is strategically situated between German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland. This allows us to maintain close relationships with our customers in German-speaking Switzerland, Germany, and French-speaking Switzerland, while also being able to collaborate effectively with key suppliers in French-speaking Switzerland.
As trained watchmakers and master watchmakers, we have both focused primarily on mechanical watchmaking. However, we are also interested in electronic timepieces and future innovations.

In the past, we have jointly set up technical offices for several start-ups, thereby setting clear benchmarks in the watchmaking industry. Today, we run our own development company, where we provide engineering and design services and manufacture high-end watches under private labels, without considering ourselves a traditional private label manufacturer.
