Ginsbo

The watch company Ginsbo Watch Cie. was founded in Günsberg (SO) in 1923 by the Kury family and two other families from the village. In the 1960s, the Kury family took over all shares in the company. In 2023, the Ginsbo brand celebrated its 100th anniversary and is still family-owned.

In the 1960s and 1970s, the company employed over 60 people and, as was customary at the time, assembled its movements itself. The hairsprings for the mechanical clocks were counted, shortened and pinned. Assembly (T2, T3) and quality assurance were also carried out in-house.

The main markets were Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Middle East. In Singapore, the models were sold under the name "Pagol".

The models on offer here are "New Old Stock" from the 80s and 90s. A rare piece of contemporary history from the Solothurn region.

In future, the watches are to be brought back onto the market with mechanical movements.
